Respin rules: when you can reroll

In Classic Draft, before you press “View Candidates,” you can respin the category or the country. Respins are free and unlimited. Once you view the six candidates for a round, that combination is locked.

Respins are off in Daily Challenge. The five rounds are fixed for everyone playing that UTC day.

Each respin selects another validated six-person pool, prioritizing a change to the part you chose.

Candidate Pools

Every round has six real candidates

Every category-and-country pairing in the game comes from a bundled, curated pool. That means there are no empty rounds, generated placeholders, or live lookups that can fail mid-draft.

Classic mode shuffles the six candidates. Daily mode keeps both the five pools and their candidate order fixed for the day.

The Math

How the game calculates your score

Baseline and role fit

Every cabinet starts at 125 points. The game calculates a role fit percentage from 0 to 100 based on how well each candidate’s category matches their assigned position. A perfect fit across all five roles adds the full 100.

Graded combo bonuses

Four roles have tiered bonuses. President, General, Treasurer, and Propaganda Minister reward their strongest category matches. The Vice President depends only on role fit.

Global alliance bonus

Two represented countries gain 4 points. Three or more countries add 8. A cabinet from one nation gets nothing.

No-authority penalty

If none of your picks are Politicians, Dictators, or Military Commanders, the game multiplies your entire score by 0.65.

Joke pick penalties

Placing Poets or Porn Stars in the General seat costs 14 points. Placing them in the Treasurer seat costs 10.

Battlefield variance

After bonuses and penalties, the game adds a random number from 0 to 20. The same cabinet can score differently across simulations.

Score cap

The game clamps the final number to 0 to 195. Hitting 195 requires excellent role fit, bonuses, an alliance, authority, and a high variance roll.

Game Modes

Classic vs Daily

Classic Draft

Unlimited runs and respins. Experiment with strange combinations and learn which categories fit each role.

Daily Challenge

Everyone receives the same five rounds and thirty candidates. Your best score for the UTC day counts.

Seating Order

Role priority: which seat to fill first

The General and Treasurer have the harshest penalties for bad fits, so fill them when a strong candidate appears. President has the highest bonus ceiling but no penalty.

A Military Commander or Dictator belongs in General. A Billionaire should go to Treasurer, not Vice President, even if the VP seat is tempting.

Weight Table

Category weight highlights

The game assigns each category a weight from 6 to 58 for every role. Politicians score 58 as President but only 20 as General. Military Commanders score 56 as General. Pop Stars score 46 as Propaganda Minister.

Poets score a surprising 54 as Propaganda Minister. Porn Stars receive the lowest weight as General and Treasurer.

Pool Coverage

Countries and categories

The curated database spans all sixteen categories used by the scoring engine, with pools across the USA, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, India, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Nigeria, and Vatican City.

Candidate data is bundled with the site, so a round does not depend on Wikipedia or another third-party API being available.

After the Game

Submitting your score to the leaderboard

After the simulation, type a commander name and submit. The leaderboard shows one best score per commander.

Tied scores share the same rank number, and the earlier submission appears first.
