A strong specialist cabinet can reach 195 even with zero battlefield variance. There is no single required lineup: categories and seats determine fit, and the score cap lets several different cabinets tie.
Start by covering authority with a Politician, Dictator, or Military Commander in any seat. Compare the remaining categories against the open roles, claim specialist bonuses where they help the whole cabinet, and avoid Poet or Porn Star appointments in General and Treasurer. Country variety can add a bonus, but a famous name has no hidden score multiplier.
Use the scoring formula and cabinet examples to separate role fit, bonuses, and penalties. A high raw weight in one role cannot be compared directly with a raw weight in another role; each role is normalized against its own range.
A worked cabinet that reaches the cap
This illustration combines the first bundled country pool for each category. It is a legal five-seat composition under the standard scoring rules, not a promise that these five pools will arrive together in a real run. Each name represents its category and country.

The range uses battlefield variance 0–20, followed by rounding and the 195-point cap. Displayed role fit is rounded; the engine uses the unrounded value.
The President, General, Treasurer, and Propaganda Minister collect their top specialist bonuses. Vice President has no separate tier bonus. The cabinet reaches the cap across the displayed variance range, so it does not need a lucky roll to display 195.
Now restrict the five rounds to Billionaires, Poets, Pop Stars, Athletes, and Chefs, using the fixed countries shown below. None provides authority. We evaluated all 120 seat permutations with the live scoring function; the following assignment maximizes the minimum-variance total for these exact pools.

Even the upper end is below 195. Moving these same five picks cannot add a missing authority category or a new country. In Daily, accept that constraint and improve the seat allocation. In Classic, a respin before revealing candidates can change the available pool, but an already locked appointment cannot be replaced.
Turn a target cabinet into round-by-round decisions
A full-information solution is easier than drafting with unseen future pools. The 195-0 draft order strategy compares the cost of locking a specialist into a flexible seat too early. For an actual Daily puzzle, use the dated Daily briefings instead of treating the illustration above as today's answer.

Try the five-seat assignment puzzle
This practice board starts with round 1 as President, round 2 as Vice President, and so on. Change an appointment to swap its occupant with another seat. In a real draft, appointments lock; use this board to plan or review, not to edit a submitted run.
Your practice score: 117–137 / 195
Average role fit: 40%. Specialist bonuses: +8. Critical-seat deductions: −0. The range includes the game's minimum and maximum battlefield variance, rounding, and the 195 cap.
Another assignment raises the minimum score by 32 points. No practice result is submitted to the leaderboard.
Reveal the exhaustive comparison and an optimal assignment
All 120 seat permutations were evaluated with the same scoring engine used by the game. Their minimum-variance totals range from 92 to 149; 2 assignments tie for the best minimum score. The difference comes from role fit, specialist bonuses, and critical-seat deductions. Country coverage and authority remain fixed because every round contributes one candidate.
President Round 5: Chefs · France
Vice President Round 2: Poets · United Kingdom
General Round 4: Athletes · USA
Propaganda Minister Round 3: Pop Stars · United Kingdom
Treasurer Round 1: Billionaires · USA
We use the first candidate from each pool as a representative: all three names share the same category and country, so their scores are identical in the standard rules. This is a full-information solution; it does not predict unseen Classic pools or guarantee a particular battlefield roll.
Best-cabinet questions
Does a different name within the same pool improve the score?
No. Standard scoring uses category and country. Replacing a candidate with another name from the same pool in the same seat leaves those inputs unchanged.
Is one 195-point cabinet better than another?
The displayed total alone cannot tell you. Rounding and the cap can hide differences in the underlying components. Compare the breakdown and the same variance value before drawing a conclusion.
Does this guide give today's Daily answer?
No. These are reproducible teaching examples assembled from bundled pools. Today's actual five rounds are available through the Daily briefing.
