Candidate data and art policy

Countries, categories, candidate names, role weights, bonuses, and penalties are bundled with the game. A draft does not fetch real-time news, polling, biographical scores, government data, or political analysis.

A category, role fit, score, or campaign result is a fictional game mechanic. It is not a statement about a person’s ability, beliefs, actions, affiliation, or country.

When a candidate does not have a bundled stylized portrait, the game may request a small public thumbnail and description from the Wikipedia API. A displayed linked portrait points to its relevant Wikipedia record.

Source pages and underlying media can have their own attribution or licensing conditions. The lookup is a display convenience, not a claim that 195-0 owns the image or that the image source endorses the game. If a portrait cannot be fetched, the game shows a generated placeholder instead.

Some candidates use stylized game portraits created for the command-card interface. These are visual game assets rather than news photography, official portraits, or biographical representations.

Portrait styling is designed to keep cards readable at game size. It should not be treated as a factual depiction of a person.

The Avatar Maker accepts a face photo that the player has the right to use and turns it into a stylized commander card. The resulting custom candidate stays in the browser for Classic Draft use.

Campaign reports containing an uploaded custom candidate cannot be made public. This protects the uploaded portrait from being placed on a public, indexable record. See the Privacy page for additional details.
